Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you can forgive the purring cat on my lap while I recorded this. This species is “Hapolopus sp Colombia large” or the Pumpkin Patch Tarantula. It’s a dwarf tarantula species as you can see, starting off quite small and remaining so over the course of their life. Much like the colorful “Jambu butantan” which I recently found in the Brazilian Amazon. Though, as I’m sure you guessed, this species is from Colombia. I’m quite happy with this video all things considered and hope it taught you something! This was my first time successfully breeding tarantulas and I’m delighted with the results. Though I am sad at the loss of the male, he was not mine so at least I wasn’t emotionally attached. Hopefully in another five years I’ll have kept enough to breed the next generation 😁 •
