YEEZY SZN 01🌎 -Ye officially returned to the runway last night after 4 years without any Yeezy shows. -He hosted YZY SZN 01, the new season, at DROAM LA (the new Yeezy flagship/HQ). It was an entirely white environment with a mound at the center of the room. It was reminiscent of the globe from his recent stadium shows, and models walked in opposite directions around said mound. The show opened with monochromatic black looks, military-inspired silhouettes, oversized boots, and most of the female models wearing heels. It was signature Yeezy. As it progressed, the palette transitioned through earth tones, tans, and whites, before all-red looks (with tan boots). Again, signature Yeezy. -The silhouettes were interesting, but not surprising for Ye. It had a distinct Eastern European influence throughout. Some of the looks immediately reminded me of Gosha. -Unreleased Ye music accompanied much of the show, with distorted vocal recordings and changing tempos influencing the pace of the models. -And in typical fashion, Ye barely walked out at the end. He was, however, very visible before & after the event, socializing with guests and friends. It ended with a standing ovation, so the crowd must have liked it.
